Best of Steemit Every Day: Harder and Harder to Choose

Every day, I bring you six seven posts you should think hard about upvoting and supporting. These are quality posts, well written and good examples of the best the community has to offer. Please consider checking them out, and if you agree, love them up.

When I started this about two weeks ago, I had intended to just do five links a day. Now I'm at a permanent seven and today (and yesterday) we had eight. That's a tribute to you, Steemians. So much good stuff I can't choose!

Today’s Best

Writing (Fiction): Geek Fiction: The Redhead and the Lake by @whatageek. I'm a sucker for redheads (well, and brunettes. And I married a blonde. So.), and this story worked in all the right ways. Snappy dialogue, interesting setting, with an undercurrent of "you know you'd struggle with this, too". Very nicely worked.

Writing (Nonfiction): The WWE Parental Moment by @coalspeaker. I don't go in for professional wrestling, but I do for fathers bringing their sons into the same kind of activities they used to love. So if this one comes with smashed tables and chairs, hey, whatever.

Writing (Craft): The Stages of Editing by @subject4-47. This is a really solid post on editing, the hardest part of writing (for me). I cannot recommend it too highly; it's one of the best craft posts on Steemit for many days now.

Steemit community: From a Minnow to the Minnows: The 5 Most Common Questions by @drpuffnstuff. Man, this post could have really helped me out a month or two ago. So much I didn't know then--and I learned something even this far along. If you're a n00b like me, you can't miss this one.

Introduceyourself: Introducing Myself: Consider This My Slate by @ceciliakeirstead. It's never a bad idea to be a blonde model when introducing oneself the Steemit community, but when you can write well, and you use some industry lingo ("slating" is what you do when you mark a scene before shooting it), that's a potent combination. One of the most popular posts of the day, right here. You should see why.

Steem: The Steem Prince: An Animation by @meesterboom. He needs no help from me, but this was very clever.

Other (History): Awe-Inspiring Picture From 73 Years Ago by @fiveboringgames. Yesterday (June 6) was the anniversary of the D-Day invasion of Europe, and in honor of that, great picture and rumination by Five Boring Games. Who I hope keeps up the very good work. I love a History post.

Special Prize: Raindrop by @foxkoit. Simply one of the best photographs on the site in the last 24 hours. Or longer. Take a look.

As always, if there are links you think I ought to be featuring, lemme have them in the comments.

Rules of the Best Of:
I don't do grammar and spelling errors. I make them, but I hate them. Unless the post is supremely brilliant, even a couple of these--especially in the title--will mean it doesn't make this list.
Minnows--I am a minnow, and I'm all in on support for the newbies. Doesn't mean I won't curate a whale post, but it's unlikely. If your rating is over 70, you don't need my help (for whatever it's worth).
I don't do porn, however artful.
