I will be making a post next week about the health benefits of turmeric.
My past research on natural remedies for some skin issues led me to make use of so many natural substance, some were very effective and some were not too effective, I knew it has to do with skin type. Before i jump right into the topic i will be explaining what turmeric is first.
Turmeric is a bright yellow aromatic powder obtained from the rhizome of a plant of the ginger family. You probably know turmeric as the main spice in curry. It has a warm, bitter taste and is frequently used to flavor or color curry powders, mustard, butters, and cheeses. But the root of turmeric is also used widely to make medicine.
Turmeric powder comes from turmeric and that is our main focus for today. The anti-bacteria properties in turmeric aids in treatment of some skin issues.
When using turmeric, you need to be mindful of the quantity you will apply on your skin. It is normal for turmeric to leave some yellow stain on your skin for a while but if you are allergic to it, direct skin contact can result to irritation, redness and swelling. If it is your first time to try it I will advice you apply it on your face first to be sure if your skin accept it before applying it on your face.
Please note that in most cases turmeric will be mixed with other natural substance either to make it more effective or to dilute it.
DIY about turmeric will be coming up soon.
Till i come your way next time.....
