BEARING SUFFERING WITHOUT BITTERNESS

In this modern age and time, a lot of Christians believe that at no point in their life should they suffer or be under trial. They believe that Christ has paid the ultimate price and as such, a Christian should have no business struggling or suffering at any point in their life. But should that be the case? Is it true that we should have no trial and tribulation because Christ has conquered death?

False! That’s a fallacious teaching and doctrine. The doctrine of “Enjoyment every day and time”. It is in no way the doctrine of Christ and has never been. This is because at no point did Christ Jesus tell us that we are not going to suffer at all. We will be tested and trialed and suffer persecution, but our only ASSURANCE is that we would be triumphant, that we would overcome. That is the only assurance we have from Christ Jesus, not the doctrine of “Life without trials.”

In the life of the apostles, we can see that the apostles suffered greatly and also the early Christians, as they were constantly under persecution. So how then does this doctrine of “life without trials” fit into the lives of the apostles?

That’s because it does not. The apostles knew they would suffer, they knew they would undergo pain all in the name of Jesus. They knew that there would be trial and tribulations. But what they were most concerned of, was that they would preach the word of God. That's why they were willing to bear the cross of Christ.

We can clearly see from the scriptures shared here that walking with Jesus does not guarantee our life free from persecution but rather it guarantees us that we shall be triumphant in whatever we face.
