We’re so amazed by your love and your support.
Hello Steem, hello steemchurch family, we want to appreciate your support and warm welcome coming to us for two days now. Indeed we’ve never seen a social network like this before, we couldn’t have imagined that we’ll one day belong to a world like steem.
Where do we start from? Lots of welcome messages, comments and gifts 🎁, left for us alone, we’ll say that Steem is something that has the ability of changing our world to how it should be.
Steemchurch is really a unique family here.
Belonging to a Christian community made us come looking for believers of same interest, we knew nothing about how this community of steem works before, but now, we’ve started having little understanding on how it works, Steem is gigantic social media that welcomes every community of people and we’re happy to see a Christian community on Steem called steemchurch. They’ve really taken us as one of their own.
We may not know much about Steem church or about other communities here but we’re really sure that here is a home for us, we’re glad because it’s possible for us to connect to a wider world of good people who are willing to associate, my children are eager to learn so much about internet, blockchain technology cryptocurrency and so on.
Now that we’re here.
Yes, it took me the proprietress some weeks to look at Steem through reading informations online about Steem and through series of questions to the young man that introduced us to Steem, but up till now, I wouldn’t promise you that I’ve grasped much on navigating here. Well, we have in mind that we’ll gain much here than we can offer, considering the fact that we’re children who’re trying to learn, we believe that we can benefit anonymously from enlightened people here.
We just want to be original here, bringing to Steem community and Steem Church our updates. We have many plans and agenda which we’ll be taking one by one until we’re able to gain some roots and skins here.
Steem can help my pupils with their education.
We’re already negotiating with some young university student who are studying computer science and recently combining their studies with blockchain, they will be involved in training and educating these little ones on blockchain technology and on Information Communication Technology (ICT) in general.
We’re optimistic that in non distant time, we can have sponsors here who may become interested in what we’re doing here which is helping our African children who don’t have means to education and good living to obtain such, we can no longer continue waiting on the government because they really doesn’t care as they ought to.
Some challenges that blockchain like Steem and Telos can help us solve.
If you have any inclination about Nigeria 🇳🇬, you’d know that about one in four Sub-Saharan population reside in our country Nigeria which makes it most populous country in Africa, this over populated dent is contributing in poverty rate in a country like ours where the government doesn’t prioritize human values.
Our country Nigeria is now seventh of most populous country not in Africa but in the world at large. Nigeria was estimated 42.5 million people at the time of her independence that took place in 1960, but right now, her population has quadrupled to 186,988 million people in 2016 according to UN projection.
All these factors are seriously affecting our children especially those from poor families, but with blockchain like Steem and with friends like Steemchurch community, we can give out our own little help in our generation to these little ones.
With support that we’ll get from Steem and Telos, we’ll be able to supply books, reading and writing materials for them, we may also be able to pay for their school fees by the time some of them enters into higher institutions.
It amazing seeing that most children with good learning ability are those that their parents couldn’t provide for their basic education, so we’re here to help such children to have access to learning and to also become useful to the society at large in the nearest future.
We’re also planning on building better learning environment for these children because right now we’re using my own apartment that I was renting out before, now I’ve vacated all my tenants because of these beautiful children that God has decided to put under my care.
Seeing grow up tomorrow to become useful to their society means thousand skyscrapers for me.
