Yet another "How I made $5 Steeming"

MONEY!

When I started Steemit a week ago today I thought "Ok at $0.01 per post my realistic goal is to earn at least $5 per day."

Well $5 a day is pretty damn easy!

You can literally post a Steemin pile of;
poop-311256_960_720.png
and make $5 a day!

It's all volume!

But I don't post crap, I discourage other users from posting crap, and I try to build a following of valuable people. So today I'm celebrating my average volume of $10 a day (averaged over 7 days) and setting my goal to increase that value with every day I spend on Steem.

So for that it's not just volume. To earn $10+ I have to post content of VALUE. What is valuable content?
I said a little about that in "Fear of the upvote" here https://steemit.com/steem/@timeshiftarts/fear-of-the-upvote

Beyond volume and value, Steemit has been an exercise in PATIENCE. Not everyone can afford to buy influence, and very few seem to attract the attention of "Whales". Because of this I have to apply the same level of discipline as I do when I'm stacking rocks https://steemit.com/steem/@timeshiftarts/patience-and-value and wait until I develop a following and build value.

Part of the value I contribute to the community is in helping others improve and creating dialog about the lack of value some money grubbers create with contests and lotteries https://steemit.com/lottery/@timeshiftarts/lottery or by copy-pasting other people's work to call their own.

Another part of the value is in sharing personal stories and things that interest me https://steemit.com/nature/@timeshiftarts/mysteries-of-medicine-the-oak-gall or useful news I find elsewhere on the internet https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@timeshiftarts/what-happens-to-the-bitcoin-when-it-maximizes-its-21m-capacity

Finally, I contribute to the process for other people by offering some of my original work for other people to use https://steemit.com/photography/@timeshiftarts/free-stock-photos

So my secret to progressively better profits from Steem isn't really a secret at all. It's just becoming a valuable part of an amazing and growing community!

As always, if you find my content valuable upvote, resteem, and follow.

Steem On!
