❇️ Voting Power & Upvote Basics Explained ❇️ #TeamSteemit! ❇️

So here it is in simple words for everyone... read below 😁

  • Steem and steem dollars (sbd) are 2 different crypto coins, both linked to steem it, both available on bittrex.

  • Steem can be converted into steem power.

  • Steem power is what steemit uses to rank you within the steemit platform. The more steem power you have the more influence you have on the steemit platform. Getting more upvotes, comments and resteem for example.

  • the more steem power you have, the more your votes are worth. If you have 100 steem power your votes would probably be worth $0.05c whereas if you have 1000 steem power, your votes would probably be worth $0.50c.

  • the amount your vote is worth is also based on "voting power". For example if you have 1000 steem power we know our vote is worth $0.50c at 100% overall voting power, if you have 50% voting power overall your vote would be worth substantially less at like $0.25c.

  • there is two type of voting power. One is overall and one is upvote power. Let me explain this a little. You have an overall voting power of 100%... it regenerates by 20% everyday, if your at 80%, by the same time tomorrow it will be 100% again based on if you continued voting or not. The second voting power you have is when you upvote on content.

For example, @adept will vote on this reply, he has a choice to vote anywhere between 0.01% - 100% on my comment. If he votes 100% on my comment, then 2% of his overall vote will be gone. If he has 100% overall it would become 98% overall voting power. if he votes 10% then he would lose 0.2% of his overall leaving him with 99.98% overall voting power.

I think this is enough for the time being... i hope I made sense lol, if you or anyone else has any further questions or I failed to explain my points properly just aks me to elaborate :)
