Interesting Analysis of the Steemit Website.

I have been following different metrics about Steemit.com lately. There is this website called Alexa where you can check out the analytics of any website. So naturally I was curious about how Steemit was doing. And the results are quite interesting.

1. First thing's First: Popularity

So, how popular Steemit is exactly? Well very popular. And getting popular by the day. Which other websites jump 5 million spots in such a shot period of time!! In just 2 months Steemit skyrockets from 0 to 25,524th place and in the US to 12,055th place! Now THAT is success!

2. World Domination

Steemit is eventually going to take over the world. That part is clear. But how fast, is anyone's guess. Right now, it is mainly used in the US which is no surprise as it is an American company. Other countries with significant users are Germany, Russia, India, UK. With time, other countries will follow suit and one by one we will have them all!! Haha!

3. User Engagement

This is one area where Steemit could use a little improvement. The bounce rate (these are single page users who leave without opening a second page on the site) has increased to 36% up 44% from last levels and average time on site has decreased 29% to 14:25. The only area that it has improved is the daily page views per visitor.

4. Where are they coming from?

It is important to know where the crowd is coming from. It provides insight as to how people are discovering the website. The medium that the people are discovering the site most can then be utilised and optimised for further increase in incoming visitors.

5. Demographics

Any analyst will tell you that demographics is perhaps the most important data of all. It literally tells you WHO is visiting your website. It is your market, in a sense. From the data acquired, one can start figuring out how to tap into the untapped market.

After going through these, all I can say is that I genuinely think that Steemit will soon go mainstream and will be one of the top 100 most popular websites. It's only a matter of time.
