L'ets talk about a big problem that is currentry running on steemit. This problem is not very dangerous for the comunity at this moment but will probably increase over the time. Of course im talking about upvote bots.
These bots are dangerous because they can give a boost to a content that the comunity did not voted for it. For some people its great because they can promote their great content that they worked hard to do. But for the majority they are using it to make a profit because they are paying for a bot that is making monney by upvoting their posts and promoting their bad content. This is a problem because while they are doing this they are using a lot of STEEM from the reward pool. As it continue going the STEEM revenue will greatly decrease and the majority of the content creators will quit.
We need to find a way to reduce the utilisation of these bots. By doing so we could attract a lot of people and make that only good content apears on the top of the list. If we do so the number of content creators will greatly increase and will help to make a better 'hot' page.
