When Moon? A real look at where we are in the develpment of Steem.

We're still in utero. I know what you're thinking, "But midlet, we've been around for THREE YEARS! That's a big ass fetus!" Not really. Not for this space. Not for brand new tech. Not for something where we're building the infrastructure as we go. Not for something that really doesn't fit in nicely and neatly with all that's out there right now.

I was excited to see that SCOT launched, so now developers or community leaders can launch their own proof of brain tokens. Also Steemit is pretty much done with MIRA, so now Steem is a lot stronger, cheaper and harder to kill, but honestly looking at all this stuff, this is really still the absolute beginning. The thing that will bring REAL value to Steem, is people building profitable businesses on Steem. We're still in the process of

A. Building the tools so that people can build those businesses
B. Developing the blockchain itself so that it can act as the foundation for all that future innovation.

The things we're building today and in the near future are not the thing. These are the things that will make "The Thing" possible.

So if you're hoping for some short term gains, well this is crypto, so you might get your wish. The markets are super unpredictable, but if that happens, it will just be that you got lucky and some traders pushed things in a way that worked for you. The REAL value will come from people making real money, not from a better image and us capitalizing on people's FOMO.

I wish I had more fiat to put in, because the little I know about trading seems to suggest you should do the opposite of what the masses are doing, and it seems like so many people are down in the dumps and depressed that this must be the time to buy, or I'm an idiot lol.

Anyway, the main point I'm trying to make here is best described in song
