Hi everyone,
Good morning to you all my steemit friends and steemit community at large. It is early morning here in ilorin, kwara state and I'm here to show and share my experience with pepper farming and tomato farming as well. I have been in this practice for While now so it is too good to say somethings about my experience so far.
Yesterday it was a dull but bright light mood for we the kwarians living in the town so I was just bored in the house doing nothing so I decided to enter the garden to see what was going on with the vegetables, pepper, tomatoes and maize likewise the animal welfare as well. So I will be showing the pepper improvement so far, the fruiting stage and the immature pepper produce.
This was the first step we took as a pepper former in the garden. We had some land preparations done like the clearing of the small portion in which we planned to plant the pepper. Also we had to hand stump the portion of the land by uprooting the leftover cut wood .Also the pepper bed was also done at the initial stage of the pepper life. After the pepper bed, we now made some irrigation by wetting the soil slightly then we spread the healthy pepper seed on the bed for germination. After for like 1 month plus we transplanted them into the garden for proper germination and now here we are. The pepper are doing great and still looking very healthy although we had some challenges like outbreak of some pets during the planting of the pepper which affected the growth at the initial stage of life but it looking more healthy now.
We all know that too much fertilizer in food is not too good but just little and it will be done. We applied animal dunk I mean rabbit waste product with poultry droppings that was what we applied and the pepper grew very well and it grew wider than our expectations.
Fertilizer application : poultry droppings.
From what you can see here, it already ripped for consumption. Red peppers.
Showing some red peppers hanging on the pepper tree.
Actually, there are some pepper that are still much not matured for harvesting while some are already matured, and ripped for consumption. I love red peppers a lot.
Red peppers gives Vitamin A is important for eye healt.
Also vitamin C which prevent the common cold but with some extra saicin, a chemical that can produce a strong burning sensation.
Red peppers contain more than 200% of the daily vitamin C intake, also it help in proper intake of iron.
