New Tournament System in Splinterlands!

Hello guys, hope you all doing well today!

Here's some update from me on Splinterlands:

The Old Tournament System

If you play Splinterlands for quite long, you must be familiar with the Tournament System.
Yeah, you browse for the upcoming Events (either created by Splinterlands or other Sponsors), you choose the one that suit your current ranks/card levels, some Tournaments require Entrance Fee, while some are Free. But, all of them require you to check in at least a few minutes before the Tournament Start, and you have to be present and battling at that time (No matter how different your Timezone are), if you miss it, you'll be disqualified, and your opponent gets a 'bye'.

For me, as someone who live in Indonesia (GMT+7), I found the events often conflicting with my working hours or my precious sleeping hours 😅

The New Tournament System!

Enter the New Tournament System, it's started this season, I saw Peakmonster started it and it seems currently on Testing phase.

This new system is called "Anytime", yes in obvious Green font-color! You wouldn't miss it!

This new System, allow players to submit their cards anytime within the appointed time window (24hrs or 48hrs), you will be matched with random players when the Tournament starts.
It'll be vary from 8 battles to 16 battles (according to which league you enter). You don't need to submit your cards right away, you can do it sparingly within the time window. If your opponent submitted their cards before you, you'll be able to watch the battle right after you submit yours.

The scoring system will be calculated according to your Winnings, Loses, Draws and this Tie Breaker system to settle the epic draw (if it actually occurs 🤣 ).

So far, I really enjoy this new system. It's less demanding than the original system. I hope there will be more of this new system implemented. While I believe there are some fine tunings need to be done here and there.

In my opinion, the battle counts need to be rounded around 8 to 10, 14 battles and above are too much.
We could also tried smaller group size for this.

Overall, I believe this is a big step forward for Splinterland. It'll surely promote more QoL for players like me.

That's all folks.

Hope you enjoying your day! 🍻
