Lessons From Tiger Woods - Professional Golfer

The story of Elderick Tont Woods (popularly called "Tiger Woods") is one that particularly fascinates me. He is well known in the game of golf and has been a professional golfer for decades. As a matter of fact, he is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to professional golf - no wonder he was ranked No. 1.

However, many things happened in quick succession behind the scene - ranging from personal issues, to marital issues, to allegations, and to crown it all, he sustained a severe injury that saw him undergoing series of surgical interventions. All these happened and Tiger Woods seemed to have met his waterloo. He nosedived from No. 1 to lower than No. 50 in the world's golf ranking. It didn't stop there: At a point, he went below 1000th position in the world ranking.

People thought that Tiger Woods' career has gone into oblivion. For long, no one heard about him, and it seemed he entered a dark phase of his life.

A pessimist would be quick to say "Well, since Tiger Woods has made name for himself in golf, he should just take a bow". But Tiger Woods knew that a comeback was still possible even with all the backslides - this resurrected and quickened his spirit to pick up his golf kits and hit the field.

In 2018/2019 season, Tiger woods resurfaced again after years of inaction and staged a very powerful comeback. Tiger Woods had only one mission, and that was to win. For the first time in over five years of going without trophy, he won a title and a major one at that.

From the back, Tiger Woods made his way again to the front at the age of 43. This win was so outstanding that he got commendation from White House. If the story of Tiger Woods does not inspire you not to give up on life, then I wonder what will inspire you.

At every point in your life that you feel like quitting and throwing in the towel, just remember that a lot of people have passed through similar situation and emerged with success - the only thing is, do not stop trying to succeed. Very soon, you will be face-to-face with your success.
