TNT KaTropa beat San Miguel Beermen 114-109 to claim a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals of the PBA Governors' Cup.
KJ McDaniels went on to win TNT with 44 points while Troy Rosario had 30 points and Roger Pogoy had 17 points.
TNT coach Bong Ravena also points out that winning is important as they come from three straight defeats.
Another key factor was the return of Jayson Castro.
TNT will face Magnolia in the quarterfinals.
