We all know that the England Premiership is the most popular league in the world but recently, football fans couldn’t wish for better news than the announcement of Jose Mourinho as Pochettino’s replacement at Tottenham. With one year as a Sky Sports pundit and without a coaching job, Jose Mourinho has returned to the bench once again and this time around, he is coaching a team that has had just sniffs at trophies for too long without touching them. Will Jose put an end to that?
With Jose Mourinho at Tottenham, Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, Bredgan Rodgers at Leicester City, Lampard and his highly spirited Chelsea team, permit me to tag Emery at Arsenal along and no offense Manchester United but imagine Pochettino replacing Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, my oh my, we have got ourselves one hell of a league fight.
The run to 2020 has undoubtedly just gotten hotter and sweeter as we looked forward to Jose’s first game in charge this weekend. He will be meeting former club Manchester United on December 4th in which there will be lots of expectations and tension.
Based on my own analysis of Jose’s adventure at Tottenham, he will do well based on his rare experience of the game but an over bloated ego and stubbornness, known to be fully well the main traits of the Portuguese tactician (according to personal observation) are the two things that might hinder Jose from gaining success at Tottenham. However, a year can do a lot to a man and I want to believe this months without a coaching job, the once special one is likely to have did a cross check on his life and coaching career and returning as a better version of the special one.
