Accidental moneyshot!

April, 2011, a sudden upswing of spring brought an amazingly beautiful day. We went to watch Paris-Roubaix live at one of the hardest parts of the race, Camphin en Pévèle, about 22 kilometers before the finish in Roubaix. This paved road isn't really a paved road, it's more like a dirt road with some cobble stones randomly dropped from a mile away. It is just incredible these riders almost fly over them at 45 km/hour. I took some pictures, and by accident I had a close up of the later winner of the race, Johan Vansummeren. He is leading this small group that just broke away from the peleton, they never got him back. He was the hero of the day, and has now everlasting fame in France, Belgium and the rest of the world.
