There have been some turbulent times in the markets. Not only cryptocurrencies; but also other assets such as stocks have seen some downturns. Gazing upon my @splinterlands assets, I have realized that they have not had that much of a bad time when it comes to Cards that are being used as part of the game. DEC and other Land Expansions related Tokens are a different story.
Allow me introduce the best odds I have come across regarding Legendary Card openings. IIRC, only 50% of Reward Chests contain Cards and ~2% of them are Legendary. It would have normally taken 200 Reward Chests to accomplish this making my odds at this particular instance 28.57X better than average distribution. If you think there is something wrong with these calculations, feel free to let me know.
Airdrop Participation is One of The Best Things You Can Do
These are a way to get extra ROI on your investment. They create the incentive for large scale Booster Pack purchases and the sale went even faster than many of us expected. Here is a glimpse into what I managed to get:

After some time there is another venture into the territory of loosing more than winning. Altogether I am very comfortable at where I am and I will continue mostly at the current rate for many months to come.

It was great to get 2 Gold Foil Rare Cards. These are worth even more than Legendary Cards and do offer a great deal of utility as well. At the current state I am mostly using my Gold Foil Cards to rent and earn passive income. I keep the Regular Foil for gameplay.

The value of rental income has gone down drastically. It is reassuring to know that the current 20K per Season DEC income should at least be worth $20. If we had another bull market for DEC and cryptocurrency in general, I am planning to stack up on Potions.

The glory days of SPS Staking Rewards are over. On the positive side, there are those Vouchers each worth close to $2. I might end up selling some of these to make other cryptocurrency purchases depending on the price actions in the market.
Compared to the previous cycle, I am at a very relaxed state wen it comes to watching my investments crash and burn in a bear market. It has almost become "Just Another Day". You could call it maturity. You could call it a change in investing style. You could call it the power of reliability of staking rewards and DeFi. I'm having a good time here looking back positively at my investing decisions.
