HOW TO PLAY SPLINTERLANDS

Blog (1).png
A lot of people who join the Discord server who are new to playing @splinterlands are always asking these questions.
How to play? Is there a guide for beginners? What are the strong cards to be used?
How do I rank up? Can someone help?

These are just common questions from people who just started playing.
Well, let's begin. First is the summoner, these are the cards that give buffs and debuffs to monsters.
Next are the monsters, they are your playing cards that will battle your opponent's monster. The usual lineup is having a tank in front with high HP like Goblin Mech. Goblin mech is very useful for lower ranks since its has shield, health, speed, and melee damage.

The second monster may vary depending on the rules of battle, with low mana capacity you can add range damage while with high mana you can add melee damage with sneak ability. An example of a monster with sneak ability is Sandworm. Sandworm has decent damage and can instantly kill low HP monsters without a shield.

Up next are the mages and range monsters. Mages usually have minimal damage but are very effective when paired with a summoner that adds them magic damage like Alric Stormbringer which gives +1 magic. Magic damage hit the enemy monsters HP directly even with a shield except when it has a Void Armor ability (so be sure to learn all the abilities of monsters). An effective way to counter magic damage is by playing a monster with a magic reflect ability. But you will not know for sure if your opponent will be using magic damage or not.

Range monsters are normally at the back lines. They are far from melee since normally they can't attack while being in the front(unless otherwise set on the rules).
But always be mindful where you placed low HP range monsters since sneak monsters can easily kill them. Having a backline with decent HP is still advisable.

And when you are all set, click battle and rage on!
Will you know victory or defeat?
But don't skip your battles. Try to learn as well the lineup that defeated you.
In that way, you will gain strategies and combinations which could help you in your next battles. You might battle a Kron Undying and say "what the *%$#?"
Yes, I was defeated many times as well with that monster but we will save it for advanced gameplay reviews since this is for beginners only.

Let me know how you did on your first day playing the game in the comments section.
Stay safe everyone!
