A great question of which i have no answer to. I was just eating some Ube yesterday and was chatting with some Hive filipino's in the Hiveph discord server.
I was drawing as usual, initially i wanted to draw a simple Bat emoji. But as the night was drawn out and we started watching some anime. It was Garden of Words.
During the movie night. Everyone started eating, some had chips. Others cooked some midnight snacks. While i was starving, drawing and watching (Pop mode), i decided to get something to eat.
There was nothing. Asides from fish and canned foods, anything that requires effort to cook is off limits. It already around 11pm, too lazy.
So i started drawing my ube. Around the same time, i was checking for what SPL monster to draw. Checking the market, sorted by cheapest and saw the Vampire bat being the cheapest card there is.
Purple Bat + Ube = Ube Bat!
And starting from today. I shall exclusively make Food based SPL post. MUahahahah!
I am now a Food art channel. At least until i get bored.

Pagpag: Food from garbage in Philippines
https://www.youtube.com/@robloak
Last note.
Pagpag = Using Food waste typically parts thrown away, left overs or rotten.
As i was eating this sweet ube, @acidyo asked if we make pagpag.
For my family, if there is left over rice in the rice cooker. We save it in a Plastic box (Empty 1.5L Ice cream box) and store it there until we need some starch or base for rice cakes or Sapin Sapin
We very picky with what we chose to serve as Pagpag, because we only know a few dishes and not used to the more REAL PAGPAG.
Ohh yeah to any American viewers here the reason we filipino's can do this and not get a Cease and decease note from the Health inspector or catch a heart attack is very simple.
Alot of what we eat are either Natural or organic. You can have meat that's dark red or bread that's covered in mold. Since there's not much or any chemicals.
By simply cleaning and cooking it, alot of the Microbes die and its safe to eat.
*Note the taste of pagpag depends on the Trash used and skill of the cook. Its very hard to get the same Pagpag taste everytime.
Here is a good video to watch and learn about the art of eating trash.
Guess that's about it, Thanks for reading
