Greeting my frineds and rivals,
This week post is a bit of unorthodox verison of "Share your battle" (not the theme monster!) beacuse I want to share with you the splinter-achievement I have recently fulfilled.
So about a few months ago Chaos Legion Rewards released.And the hype was at its peak. Lots of powerful and new cards just landed on us at every box opening.
A lot of cards caught my attention then, but only few really spark my enthusiasm for the long term. Explodeing Rats? HP too low (Its still great in some rule sets). djinn chwala? Its great card but the dragon splinter got a better melee options...
Ofc, Some cards are absolutely OP like: venari wavesmit or djinn oshannus.
Yet there is only one rewards cards that really got my attention - Venari Bonesmith.
The reason that this card so great is for a variety of reasons:
- Its low-mid mana cost card.
- Its got a nice stats from the start - (3 hp, 2 speed, 1 magic damage).
- Its got great abilities - life leech is great and when you got it to level 4 its also got the poison ability wich is also great ability.
- Its cheap - 14$ for gold foild level four!
My only problem with this card is that its pretty easy to counter it. with only 1 magic damage, its pretty useless against monster with void (its still can poison at least).
Yet, this is the card that got me from the first time i saw it. I have invested a lot to be able to bring it to this level (Needed a level 4 death summoner). And Im totally happy with result!
So with no further delays let me "share my battle" with you!
Preparing to battle
Points I took into account when I prepared for this battle:
- Medium-high mana cap.
- Explosive weaponry ruleset.
- Melee Mayhem ruleset.
Melee Mayhem ruleset is cue to use a full melee team. Some time its good idea to use magic deck for the element of surprise. Yet its pretty easy to counter that by placing monsters with void in the first places.
In the current battle I have chosen to defend against both options by using THADDIUS BROOD (for -1 to magic) and HARKLAW (for its sheild ability).
The Explosive weaponry ruleset working great with leech ability and so for damge i use Ancient leech, life sapper and ofc venari bonesmith.
The last monster on my team was Dhampir Stalker for its high damage.

As you can see my opponent did use alot of melee (if i was choosing to use my maylor it could be easy win) and he also use unicorn mustang as his first liner (valid choice- void ability and alot of damage and speed).

Conclusion and free writing
Life leech is great ability and its the reason the death splinter is my favorite. The poison ability is also a big deal and its worth the investment.
I know that most of the player dosent like to invest in the rewards cards, and I think that's why cards like venari bonesmith are missed. It is important to remember that due to the low demand for these cards their price is also low. And some of them are a legitimate investment for those who want a more powerful deck.
My next goal is to get Tarsa (fire summoner), Kelya (water summoner) and obsidian to level 2. Its should be easy enough... But I'm trying to accomplish this by buying packs so it's more dependent on luck.
