Welcome to the 4th edition of my @Splinterlands #BrawlReport. I rotated out of the brawl for the PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish guild, but will summarize our performance. The last brawl was especially brutal for both the PIZZA 1 and PIZZA 2 guilds and I'm happy to report that this time around we performed much better as we were placed in a much more evenly matched guild group.
The guilds included in our brawl group range from rank #43 down to #464, while PIZZA 2 is ranked #494. So we are the lowest ranked guild in this brawl group heading into the competition. Ultimately, that means we outperformed.
Brawl Results - PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish
PIZZA 2 finished in 5th place in this brawl, right in the middle of the pack. This is an improvement of two places compared to the last brawl and a great finish for being the lowest ranked guild in the group. I'm also glad to see that we beat the guild called When Fat Kids Attack... apparently they can't handle the deep dish pizza, sorry fatties!
Congratulations to @irregular-n for taking the top spot with 6 wins and only 1 loss in Fray 3, which was also an Untamed Only fray. That's an outstanding performance!
@nixibabie and @zato1 also performed well by winning more battles than they lost in the brawl. All together, PIZZA 2 came home with 32 Wins and 36 Losses, compared to only 21 Wins last time around. For their efforts, participants received 269 Merit rewards and 7 Crown rewards.
I think I will jump back into the rotation in the next brawl and hopefully fare better than I did last time where my only saving grace was a couple of opponents fleeing (which was probably not their fault anyway).
Brawl Results - PIZZA 1 The Stuffed Crust
PIZZA 1 took the first place title during this brawl! Congrats to all! PIZZA 1 The Stuffed Crust is the competitive guild within the PIZZA token community and came through with 64 wins!
Leading the guild to victory was @kennysgaminglife with a perfect streak of 8 wins and 0 losses! Congrats on an awesome performance in Fray 9!
Congrats to @kuzuri27 for achieving 8 wins and @torrey.blog with 7 wins and 0 losses! It's great to see two players both going undefeated in a brawl.
One of Kenny's battles is a great watch... especially because I always love battles that use the chicken! That chicken taunts the enemy from the front line while the back row takes care of business and breaks through his opponent's defenses.

My Featured Battle
I've been working on putting together lineups that perform well with Mylor Crowling but are resistant to a magic attack from my opponent. The problem is usually that when I setup to protect myself from magic, I end up leaving myself open to getting destroyed by a non-magic attack. Opponents that I think will use magic against me end up using melee or range and I find myself struggling. I also tend to do well with high mana battles, it's the low mana ones I really have a hard time with defending from various forms of attack.
Here's my last battle in which I thought my opponent would use magic, but ended up not doing so and I still managed to overtake them.

Had my opponent been using magic attack as their primary attack method, my setup should have reduced magic attack by one with my Mushroom Seer. Since they usually only have an attack of 1 or 2, this would keep their magic attacks stuck at 1 per turn. The addition of the Unicorn Mustang in the second position ensures that it will be impervious to any magic attacks because of its Void ability.
I have been doing well with my Mylor Crowling setup, to the point of having a 63% win rate so far this season. I really find Mylor Crowling to be an incredibly powerful summoner, if only I can insulate from those magic attacks while also being capable against a surprise melee or range attacker, I'd probably be closer to a 70-75% win rate. I continue to only rent Mylor Crowling, but am starting to wonder if I should just go ahead and buy one since I depend on it so much in my daily battles.
What is the @hive.pizza #BrawlReport?
@kennysgaminglife has spearheaded the #BrawlReport project as a way to get PIZZA guild members more engaged in the Splinterlands community. Here's what he had to say:
Starting with the brawl that just ended, I've invited/asked members of the #HivePizza guild to publish a #BrawlReport, breaking down their highs & lows, where they need help, questions they have, strategies they love, and so on. The idea is to help us all reflect a bit, learn a bit, share a bit, earn a bit, and connect a bit :-)
Any other guilds interested in publishing a #BrawlReport, either as individuals, or one for the whole guild, I'm happy to send some curation love your way!
