Lore
Diemonsharks travel alone throughout the stars searching for prey and territory. They are fearsome beasts with lightning-fast reflexes. Diemonsharks are extremely territorial and attack any creature that encroaches on their land. The Chaos Legion trains them as transports for equipment. Since they can travel by air, ground, or sea, they are ideally suited for the task. Continue Reading...

Card Review
Prons
- It has a huge health and armor good against melee and range opponents and even on magic when there is a Weak Magic rule set.
- It's Enrage ability increases all of it's stats when it received a damage on its health, making it stronger and faster.
- Trample and Retaliate allows Diemonshark the opportunity to attack more than once per round.
Cons
Does not have Shield or Void which are abilities that reduces the damage from melee, range and magic attacks that are great assets for a 1st position tank.
Speed will be a disadvantage on Reverse Speed where the priority of attack goes to the slower monsters.
Diemonshark is a melee card for the Water element and it serves mainly as frontline tank since it has huge health and armor and since it does not have any abilities that allows it to attack from position other than the first. It has Trample ability that allows it to attack once again when it defeated a monster, Enrage ability that increases it's speed and melee when its health recieves damage and Retaliate which when triggered will attack the melee monster that attack this card. When it reached level 6, it will have the max melee damage of 4 and health of 10 but there will be no increase with the speed and armor.

Battle Phase
With only 2 elements available, chances of choosing the same element is high but not only that we have the same element, my opponent chooses the same summoner Kelya Frendul. Since the rule set is Stampede where the Trample ability can trigger multiple times per attack if the trampled Monster is killed, I choose Diemonshark for my tank then followed it with a melee team that are fast can still attack at their respective positions.
On the first round, Diemonshark recieves magic damage from Djinn Oshannus causing the Enrage ability to take effect and increasing its speed to 8 and melee damage to 5. It also recieves 2 damage on armor but no damage has been done to the rest of my team. On the other hand, Wave Brood only has 5 health, far from it's original 14 health, even with the Tank Heal of Merdaali Guardian as it was receiving all the attacks because of the Taunt ability.
On round 2 Diemonshark defeated Wave Brood, Allowing it to attack Torrent Fiend which if not because of the +1 armor from Kelya Frendul, it will also be defeated and possibly trigger the Stampede rule set but it was ok because it was taken out by Tide Biter while Axemaster has only 1 health because of the SneakSneak attacks on it and the Furious Chicken has left with no armor.
At round 3, Axemaster was defeated, never once a able to do damage on Deimonshark that was able to defeat Furious chicken and attacks Djinn Oshannus but it's armor and health was repaired by Merdaali Guardian but then, it was poisoned by Uraeus then also attacked by Deeplurker having it with only 1 health.
Round 4 is where the battle ends as the full force of my melee team attacks Djinn Oshannus. Even if Deimonshark can only deal 1 damage to it because of the Forcefield ability, it was good enough to remove the armor then the rest of my team has to just attack it and win.
Here is a replay of the battle which at you can watch at 3speak or in Splinterlands.
Did your Strategy Work?
Not entirely because my original goal is to maximize the use of the Stampede, possibly defeating more than 1 opponent per round but because of the armor of my opponent, I wasn't able to trigger the rule set but at the end, I still won and Diemonshark plays a vital role for my win as it tanks the magic damage with it's huge health and most only once it receive range damage because it was very fast.
Do You Like Diemonshark
Diemonshark was among the best monster of the Chaos Legion set for the water element in my opinion and it also greatly synchonizes with the summoner Kelya Frendul so it is one of my favorite cards and also most used when I specially during melee battles or if I know that my opponent will use range monster.
What will you try differently next time?
Summoner | Monster | Abilities | ||
---|---|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() Blind | ![]() Swiftness | ![]() Slow |
One that I haven't tried much is using the summoner Aquatus from the Riftwatchers set that gives the Backfire ability. This ability deals 2 damage on the opponent when they misses their target and together with monsters that have Blind, Swiftness and Slow ability, chances of hitting Diemonshark will be extremely low.
