Today I want to share with you guys my thoughts on SPS (Splintershards) and Hive Engine.
I think the daily Airdrop for SPS within the game is a brilliant idea to get the community to reinvest into the game by rewarding them daily SPS depending on how much in game content they own.
For example I myself own around 30,000 worth of points in this game which generates me around $2 worth of SPS per day via the airdrop. Which I feel is so rewarding. As you can probably tell by my Collection Power I'm very new to the game. But I quickly fell in love with the idea and became very bullish on the whole idea of Play2Earn and I feel Splinterlands does it perfectly. I then brought 3 PLOTS from Hive Engine as this is sold out in the game and transferred it to my Splinterlands account which has allowed me to quickly amas that 30k worth of points.
Sooo... How does it work you ask. Well for starters there is a limited supply and from the below image you can see that from the day I have written this the market price is ~$0.24.
How it works is per day the game itself deposits a % of SPS into your account based on how many points your Airdrop is worth and then you can claim it. I have only been playing for a little while and I have already accumulated around $17 in SPS which I then click the Stake icon and generate even more SPS. Which I feel is a win, win!
For newer players purchasing any ingame content now is pretty much impossible as it is all sold out. Now if you are wondering how to purchase Land Plots or Card Packs, you must do this through a third-party such as HIVE Engine. Which Splinterlands itself can direct you too. If you click on the + icon next to how much DEC you own. (picture below for reference) You can then click the HIVE ENGINE icon which will open up a new tab and direct you there.
From there sign up using your HIVE Keychain account which you should already have or will have once you sign up to Splinterlands.
Navigate to the Market and from there you can see all the ingame items you can purchase using other cryptocurrencies. You can transfer from the MetaMask or HIVE Keychain wallet for example.
