The Splintershards token (SPS) was set up as a Decentralized Autonomous Organization or DAO via a series of smart contracts which are published on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) platform.

What is SPS airdrop?
On July 27th the Splinterlands team officially launched the SPS token and started the SPS airdrop.
400M SPS tokens, or 13.33% of the total token supply, will be airdropped to players based upon the amount and type of Splinterlands assets held in their accounts. Rather than have a specific airdrop date/time with a snapshot as is common, SPS tokens will be airdropped to asset holders on a daily basis over a 1-year period.
The SPS price was around $0.007 at the moment of its launch. Today it is around $0.670. Game developers do their best to encourage people to stake and hold the token, so probably, SPS price won't drop down.
How to get SPS?
You can get an SPS airdrop if you play Splinterlands or you can buy an SPS token on Gate.io. That exchange platform offers different giveaways and bonuses to its users.

How to get an SPS airdrop?
First of all, you need to have an account in the game, i.e. you need to buy the spellbook which costs $10. And that is all! You don't need to spend more money unless you want to grow your game power and get more benefits from it.
There are different assets in the game: DEC tokens. cards, lands, totems, SPT token (blogging token), skins, etc. And the airdrop amount depends on these assets.
