Pit Ogre makes an interesting tank

This week's Splinterlands battle challenge theme is Pit Ogre.

Normally I am not the biggest fan of using the pit ogre in my line-ups because of the high lack of speed, lack of healing ability, and I prefer either chain golem or cerberus.
Tonight I had the fire splinter as my daily quest and decided I would try my luck at using the pit ogre. I choose to use him as my tank in a battle against @primersion

Rules were Silenced Summoners and Lost Legendaries

With a 25 mana cap

Target Practice: Means all ranged and magic attack monsters have the snipe ability.
Lost Legendaries: Means legendary monsters may not be used in battle.

Summoner Selection:

I normally choose Malric over Pyre for the +1 melee attack instead of Pyre's +1 speed and also because my Malric is level 4 and my Pyre is only level 3.

Monster Selection

1rst Position: I choose the Pit Ogre for his enrage and stun. Enrage is nice because after the pit ogre takes damage his melee goes up to 6 from 3. Being that the Pit Ogre is slow he almost always takes some damage before it's his turn so he gets enraged for a 6 melee attack. Stun is also an awesome ability because if successful it stuns the monster attacked preventing self-healing and attacks from that monster for a turn.

2nd position: I used my giant roc for this position because it has reach and the highest health with reach of all the available cards. Reach is nice because it can attack from the second position which was very useful in this match because it helped to take out the sea monster in the first round.

3rd position: I put Naga Fire Wizard in this position because it is the monster that my opponent will be targeting with their magic and ranged monsters snipe. I like fire wizard for this role because she has the shield ability which decreases ranged attack. I also chose the Naga Fire Wizard because she has a 3 magic attack which bypasses my oppenets sheilds.

4th Position:
I choose the fire beetle for this position because it has a 2 ranged with snipe and also 5 health. The health of the fire beetle is greater than any other 3 mana choice.

5th Position:
I choose the furious chicken for this position because it cost 0 mana and I used it as a rear mini tank in case I got attacked from the rear it would take a round of damage.

How the Battle Went:
I'll be honest when I saw my opponents line up I thought I had lost this match. I hit the skip to end button and was like WTF I won... So then I went back to check out the battle. My opponents Sea monster attacked before I did so my pit ogre was enraged when it attacked. The Giant Roc attacked 2nd and killed the sea monster.

After that it was a back and forth until I finally won with these monsters still alive.

Conclusion
I will stick with the tanks I prefer and only use the pit ogre in my favorite ruleset for him.
I normally don't use the pit ogre unless I have a 99 mana melee mayhem match, but I wanted to see if I could use him for a tank in a few matches. This is the only one I won.
