CHALLENGE RULES
RULESET: Melee Mayhem
Description:
Melee units can attack from any position.
General Strategy:
Since melee units has higher stats you main want to use plenty of them on this ruleset specially the ones without abilities to attack from any position like Sneak or opportunity since the units without this abilities will get the highest benefits from this rulesets, as the same goes for your opponent you can expect heavy melee units from him/her so use some counters against melee as well like Shield, Thorns, Retaliate and Demoralize, since both are expecting melee you can surprise your opponent going heavy on magic or range attack, sneaks attacks are also unexpected on this ruleset.

Up Close and Personal: Only monsters with melee attack may be used in battle.
Briar Patch: All units have the Thorns ability.
Mana Cap: 56.
Splinter Allowed: Fire, Life and Earth.
About the battle
Since we are forced to only use melee and all have thorns, I chose to go double Demoralize, double Protect, Repair and Shield on the front, my opponent had an interesting idea he goes with 3 units with Reflection Shield to avoid the Thorns damage, he also use protect Uriel as a tank and Jared Scar that is an excellent choice from any ruleset that allows melee units attack from any position, however since I use double Demoralize and Shield in front, most of his units end dealing 0 damage.
My Team:
Level 8 Antoid Platoon
My tank with Shield and with Scavenger, he may collect some health as the opponent units star to die.
Level 4 Arkemis The Bear
A very heavy a expensive melee with Halving ability may not be the best tank but work pretty well on any ruleset where melee units can attack from any position and have a high mana cap.
Level 3 Legionnaire Alvar
One of my Demoralize units.
Level 6 Disintegrator
One of my Demoralize units.
Level 7 Ferox Defender
Give Protect and Repair.
Level 3 Drybone Raider
Another excellent choice when ever melee can attack from any position, it may not be the best choice here for the Thorns and his double strike but since I have a lot mana availed end up use it.

Even though my opponent idea of avoiding thorns damage with reflection shield was interesting he could not past my tank with shield, he put very few damage for the fight and do not try to counter me he may though the thorns will be enough.
