Ayer retomé el Camino de Santiago que dejé inacabado en el 2019. Estoy haciendo el Camino de Santiago Portugués por la costa. Lo empecé en Oporto.
Ahora lo he reiniciado desde Vigo con la intención de llegar a Santiago de Compostela en cinco días. Espero que las fuerzas me acompañen.
Para ir de Vigo a Redondela, se aprovecha la “Traída da Augas” (Senda del agua). Esta etapa es la última del Camino Portugués por la costa y comunica en Redondela con el Camino Portugués Central.
Inicié la marcha en la “Iglesia de los Picos”, así conocida coloquialmente por los habitantes de Vigo a la iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción.
Siguiendo la calle Toledo, en pendiente, y muy atento porque encontré muy poca señalización, llegué hasta la Senda del agua. A partir de ahí, fue fácil porque El suelo está marcado con una línea amarilla ondulada.
Poco a poco, el peregrino va ascendiendo mientras observa la ría de Vigo de una forma, cada vez, más panorámica.
La ría de Vigo es un paisaje natural espectacular. Hay multitud de colores: las montañas verdes al fondo, las aguas azules de la ría, las nubes blancas en el cielo azul y los techados naranjas de las casas.
Cuando se acaba la senda, se entra en una pista de tierra que discurre a través de un bosque fresco y tupido. Camino entonces, escuchando solo mis pasos y, quizás, el trino de algún pajarito. Me embarga una gran sensación de paz y tranquilidad.
Hay algún ciclista que pasa silencioso y me sorprende. Debo de estar mas atento a ellos. Casi uno me atropella…
Veo esperanzado una señal de que hay un bar donde descansar y tomarme un café.
Mi ilusión pronto se desvanece pues encuentro un grupo de peregrinos sin mascarilla, sentados Y esperando a ser atendidos. Si me han adelantado por unos pocos minutos y así era imposible pedir una consumición.
Me voy frustrado, pero enseguida se me pasa el enfado porque me adentro en un paisaje bellísimo, donde hay fuentes y pequeñas cascadas de agua.
Durante la caminata, ahora hay algunos otros peregrinos, lo que no pasaba ayer. Me siento más tranquilo, aunque me separo algo de ellos para caminar de manera más solitaria.
Me adelantó un padre con sus dos hijos que iban sin mochila y en plan veloz. El padre les metía un poco de caña para ir más deprisa. Un poco estresante…
También, una pareja de peregrinos italianos que iban charlando animadamente.
Cuatro ingleses me sobrepasan hablando los cuatro a la vez. No sé cómo se entienden!
En este momento, observo que se ha nublado. Tengo suerte porque en esta parte hay menos arboleda y, por tanto, menos sombra. Si llega a estar el sol radiante, habría sido un castigo tremendo.
Caminar por este sendero es tan placentero que no deseo que se acabe.
Cuando llega la bajada pronunciada, indica que estamos cercanos al final. Primero pasamos por Cedeira donde hay una iglesia que no puedo visitar porque estaba cerrada.
Luego, paso por una serie de calles de una población dispersa.
En una de las casas hay plantadas calabazas que cuelgan por fuera del muro. Algunas son tan grandes que el dueño ha clavado una caja a la pared para sostenerla.
Tras la bajada pronunciada, llegué finalmente a Redondela donde tomé una merecida cerveza fresquita. Curiosamente, aquí venden una cerveza negra portuguesa sin alcohol que me gusta mucho.
Ya solo me queda descansar y prepararme para la etapa de mañana.

Walking down the path of the water
Yesterday I resumed the Camino de Santiago that I left unfinished in 2019. I am doing the Portuguese Camino de Santiago along the coast. I started it in Porto.
Now I have not restarted from Vigo with the intention of reaching Santiago de Compostela in five days. I hope that the forces join me.
To go from Vigo to Redondela, take advantage of the “Traída da Augas” (Water Path).
This stage is the last of the Portuguese Way along the coast and communicates in Redondela with the Central Portuguese Way.
Start the march in the Church of the Picos, thus colloquially known by the inhabitants of Vigo to the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
Following Toledo Street, on a slope, and very attentive because I found very little signposting, I reached the Senda del Agua. From there it was easy because the ground is marked with a wavy yellow line.
Little by little, the pilgrim ascends while he observes the Vigo estuary in an increasingly panoramic way.
The Vigo estuary is a spectacular natural landscape. There are many colors: the green mountains in the background, the blue waters of the estuary, the white clouds in the blue sky and the orange roofs of the houses.
When the path ends, you enter a dirt track that runs through a fresh and dense forest. I walk then, listening only to my footsteps and, perhaps, the trill of some little bird. I feel a great sense of peace and tranquility.
There is a cyclist who passes by silently and surprises me. I must be more attentive to them. Almost one runs me over ...
Hopefully I see a sign that there is a bar where I can rest and have a coffee.
My illusion soon fades as I find a group of pilgrims without a mask, sitting and waiting to be treated. If they have advanced me by a few minutes and thus it was impossible to order a drink.
I leave frustrated, but immediately the anger goes away because I enter a beautiful landscape, where there are fountains and small waterfalls.
During the walk, there are now some other pilgrims, which was not the case yesterday. I feel calmer, although I separate myself from them to walk in a more solitary way.
A father overtook me with his two sons who went without a backpack and in a fast plan. The father put a bit of cane in them to go faster. A little stressful…
Also, a couple of Italian pilgrims who were chatting animatedly.
Four English people surpass me speaking all four at the same time. I don't know how they are understood!
At this time, I observe that it has become cloudy. I am lucky because in this part there is less trees and, therefore, less shade. If the sun were to shine brightly, it would have been a tremendous punishment.
Walking this trail is so enjoyable that I don't want it to end.
When the steep descent comes, it indicates that we are near the end. First we pass through Cedeira where there is a church that I cannot visit because it was closed.
Then, I pass through a series of streets of a dispersed population. Pumpkins are planted in one of the houses that hang outside the wall. Some are so large that the owner has nailed a box to the wall to support it.
After the steep descent, I finally reached Redondela where I had a well-deserved cold beer. Interestingly, here they sell a non-alcoholic Portuguese black beer that I really like.
Now I just have to rest and prepare for tomorrow's stage.

Los dibujos los hice en el iPad con el programa Sketches.
For the photography I use my iPhone X. For edition I use the Snapseed application and for the digital signature the Watermark app.
Everything I did on my mobile phone, I did not use the computer at all.
For the drawings, I use the Sketches program and paint them on the tablet.
