Hola, Hive y comunidad de atletas Zulianos. El día de hoy comentaré un tema diferente al que comúnmente trato en mis posts. Suelo hacer contenido deportivo, pero hoy quiero hablar de un tema que nos está pesando a mí y a mis compañeros del Zulia que practicamos el deporte, en Venezuela. Está picándonos una vieja herida: Street Workout Community.
Comenzaré hablando sobre como empezó todo esto. Ingresé a SWC y a Hive respectivamente en noviembre del 2023 con ayuda de @hecatonquirox, que llegó a nuestro grupo de calistenia como portavoz de esa comunidad. Al conocerlo, llegué a otra persona que supe después era la cabeza de la comunidad. Después entendería que una organización con una sola cabeza no es muy transparente que digamos, sobre todo en una plataforma que promueve la "descentralización". Manuel Ramos, con elogios y palabras amables, pensé que era un buen tipo. Me halagaba, me hizo regalos y fue incluso a mi casa una vez.
Pero todo empezó a sonar extraño a principios de este año cuando llevaba un tiempo en la comunidad y había participado en la competencia que SWC financió aquí en el Zulia, Endurance to the Limit, en diciembre. Yo estaba trabajando, publicando posts como un loco con la promesa de un uniforme, y de suplementación para mí como atleta, lo cual, spoiler, nunca llegó. Pero ese trabajo pensé que había rendido frutos cuando pude ser moderador de la comunidad. Me sentí feliz porque sentí que podría hacer algo bueno por la comunidad que me estaba "apoyando". Sin embargo, junto con Brando, nunca se nos explicó detalladamente qué hacer. Solo se nos dijo que ayudaríamos. ¿A qué específicamente? No lo sé, nunca lo supe. Pero con la transferencia de 50 HBD por parte de Manuel solo por ser moderador (o sea, no hacer nada), no me importó nada.

Hello, Hive and community of Zulian athletes. Today I will comment on a different topic than I usually deal with in my posts. I usually do sports content, but today I want to talk about a topic that is weighing on me and my fellow Zulian athletes in Venezuela. An old wound is biting us: Street Workout Community.
I'll start by talking about how this all started. I joined SWC and Hive respectively in November 2023 with the help of @hecatonquirox, who came to our calisthenics group as a spokesperson for that community. Upon meeting him, I reached out to another person who I later learned was the head of the community. Later I would understand that an organization with only one head is not very transparent, especially in a platform that promotes "decentralization". Manuel Ramos, with compliments and kind words, I thought he was a nice guy. He flattered me, gave me gifts and even came to my house once.
But it all started to sound strange earlier this year when I had been in the community for a while and had participated in the competition that SWC funded here in Zulia, Endurance to the Limit, in December. I was working, posting posts like crazy with the promise of a uniform, and supplementation for me as an athlete, which, spoiler, never came. But that work I thought had paid off when I was able to be a community moderator. I was happy because I felt I could do something good for the community that was "supporting" me. Without

Sin embargo, el gusto duró poco. Después de quizás menos de 2 meses como moderadores y, por cierto, nunca cambiar nuestro estatus en Hive, así que dudo que verdaderamente nos tomara en serio como moderadores, nos sacó de ser moderadores. Estuve un poco decepcionado, pero no le presté atención. Pero todo explotó cuando, por nuevas reglas en la comunidad, se planteó que se debía publicar al menos 2 veces a la semana en la comunidad, lo cual era imposible para @atlashv96, un amigo. Sé que es un muchacho estudioso y trabajador. No publicaba más de una vez a la semana ya que tenía una vida que le quitaba mucho tiempo. Eso es respetable. Sin embargo, y sin ninguna consideración, me pareció que Manuel más que pensarlo simplemente le molestó que no "se dedicara más" e hizo que lo sacaran, sin tomar en consideración que desde que ingresó Alexander estuvo publicando un post en la comunidad semanalmente como había acordado desde que ingresó. Nada de eso lo consideró.
Tras de él, y siguiéndole fue Brando que no soportó ese trato a ese atleta y amigo, y que sinceramente Manuel no tenía bases para exigir algo así, debí hacer lo mismo. Pero yo sentí que aún tenía cosas para exprimir de SWC y sinceramente aún sentía algo de compañerismo con la comunidad. Esto se lo comuniqué a Brando y le pareció bien. Aunque Manuel, al abordarme sobre lo que pasó, solo supo intentar hablar mal de Brando, que no es la mejor persona, lo sé, pero no tenía que hablarme mal de él. Esa es una actitud muy asquerosa. Yo solo intentaba que me dejara de escribir. Ya en este punto me ponía incómodo y solo quería dejar de hablar con él. Aunque Manuel, al abordarme sobre lo que pasó, solo supo intentar hablar mal de Brando, que no es la mejor persona, lo sé, pero no tenía que hablarme mal de él. Esa es una actitud muy asquerosa. Yo solo intentaba que me dejara de escribir. Ya en este punto me ponía incómodo y solo quería dejar de hablar con él.

However, the pleasure was short-lived. After perhaps less than 2 months as moderators and, by the way, never changing our status on Hive, so I doubt he truly took us seriously as moderators, he removed us from being moderators. I was a bit disappointed, but didn't pay attention to it. But it all blew up when, because of new rules in the community, it was brought up that you had to post at least 2 times a week in the community, which was impossible for @atlashv96, a friend. I know him to be a studious and hardworking guy. He would not post more than once a week as he had a life that took up a lot of his time. That is respectable. However, and without any consideration, it seemed to me that Manuel rather than thinking about it simply got annoyed that he was not "dedicated" and had him removed, without taking into consideration that since he joined Alexander had been publishing a post in the community weekly as he had agreed since he joined. None of that he considered.
After him, and following him was Brando who did not stand that treatment to that athlete and friend, and that honestly Manuel had no basis to demand something like that, I should have done the same. But I felt I still had things to squeeze out of SWC and honestly still felt some fellowship with the community. I communicated this to Brando and he was fine with it. Although Manuel, in approaching me about what happened, only knew how to try to badmouth Brando, who is not the best person, I know, but he didn't have to badmouth me. That's a very disgusting attitude. I was just trying to get him to stop writing me. I was getting uncomfortable at this point and just wanted to stop talking to him.

Todo terminó cuando se creó Hive Calisthenics y Brando me ofreció ser moderador. Al fin y al cabo, estábamos todos en el Zulia y éramos un movimiento de calistenia. Supe muchas cosas de Manuel, con muchas pruebas, muchas transferencias, porque gracias a Dios en Hive todo es visible y hay cosas que no se pueden ocultar. Me di cuenta de que la competencia de diciembre con la que sufrimos y nos esforzamos para que saliera bien, y que pensamos teníamos algo medidos los recursos, se nos destinó apenas un 25% de los fondos que verdaderamente nos correspondía para ella. Eso era inocultable, y me molestó mucho. Aún estoy esperando el tan esperado parque de barras el cual me prometieron y por el cual se nos inculcó que debíamos limpiar el lugar donde estarían.
Seguí adelante con Hive Calisthenics y cuando lanzamos la comunidad, automáticamente Manuel me abordó, volviendo con su trato extraño que me ponía incómodo, diciendo que "le rompí el corazón". No le respondí, no lo vi necesario, y seguidamente me sacó de SWC. No entendí muy bien, ¿no puedo estar en dos comunidades? Pensé que la comunidad, como Hive, era abierta para publicar tanto ahí como en otras comunidades. Esto solo me dejó todo claro: este personaje se oculta tras una máscara que engaña a atletas como yo, ingenuos, ya sea con palabras bonitas, regalos, incluso dinero, y en base a eso saca a flote su comunidad con la cual se mantiene, no de manera honrada, sino robando de los propios eventos que hace. Lo que debería destinarse al atleta que, como yo, se esfuerza para lograr todo lo que él le prometió y que al final quizás lo único que consigue son migajas. No es justo, y no me gusta. Por ello Hive Calisthenics, fue hecho por y para los atletas. Estamos empezando Hive Calisthenics, aún no tenemos mucho que ofrecer, pero todo lo que tenemos y tendremos es para los atletas, para su progreso y por el bien y crecimiento tanto de Hive como del deporte. Si algún atleta de swc me ve, perdón por sorprenderte de manera tan negativa quizás, pero aquí tienes los brazos abiertos, no hay una cabeza en hive calisthenics, trabajamos en conjunto para progresar y mejorar, ayúdanos a ello, seamos mejores.

It all ended when Hive Calisthenics was created and Brando offered me to be a moderator. After all, we were all in Zulia and we were a calisthenics movement. I learned many things from Manuel, with many proofs, many transfers, because thank God in Hive everything is visible and there are things that cannot be hidden. I realized that the December competition with which we suffered and made an effort to make it go well, and that we thought we had the resources somewhat measured, we were allocated only 25% of the funds that really corresponded to us for it. That was undeniable, and it bothered me a lot. I am still waiting for the long awaited bar park which I was promised and for which we were told we had to clean up the place where they would be.
I went ahead with Hive Calisthenics and when we launched the community, I was automatically accosted by Manuel, coming back with his strange treatment that made me uncomfortable, saying that "I broke his heart". I didn't respond to him, I didn't see it necessary, and he promptly pulled me out of SWC. I didn't quite understand, can't I be in two communities? I thought the community, like Hive, was open for posting both there and in other communities. This just made it all clear to me: this character hides behind a mask that deceives athletes like me, naive, either with nice words, gifts, even money, and based on that he floats his community with which he supports himself, not honestly, but stealing from the very events he does. What should go to the athlete who, like me, strives to achieve everything he was promised and in the end maybe all he gets are crumbs. It's not fair, and I don't like it. That's why Hive Calisthenics, was made by and for athletes. We are just starting Hive Calisthenics, we don't have much to offer yet, but everything we have and will have is for the athletes, for their progress and for the good and growth of both Hive and the sport. If any swc athlete sees me, sorry to surprise you in such a negative way maybe, but here you have open arms, there is no head in hive calisthenics, we work together to progress and improve, help us to do so, let's be better.
