En Venezuela este hermoso pájaro está en extinción debido a que es un animal muy lindo y son pocos, muchas personas se dedican a la captura y venta de el mismo y este es un animal muy liberar y no se adapta muy bien a estar encerrado y la mayoría cuando son capturados mueren de rabia.
