My Wine

Without further ado, I present to you my 2017 Mencia. From Adega Aire in the Ribeira Sacra region of Galicia, Spain. Although my family wanted me to name the winery after myself, I chose to name it Aire. Aire is a Galician word that translates to air in English but the word is often used here locally in Galicia to describe an "auspicious wind". And it is this latter translation that I had in mind when naming the winery. I chose a medium size Bordeaux style bottle for this wine. And I designed the label myself. The design on the label is a painting I made with acrylic on canvas depicting a four leaf clover with a octagram in the first leaf, a pentegram on the second leaf, a hexagram on the third leaf and a heptagram on the fourth leaf, with the colors red, blue, green, gold and black; All encircled by an endless knot. This design will serve as my family's new coat of arms. Underneath the name Aire on the label are initals of the maker of the wine, my initials A.R.C. and my personal symbol. The wine is 12.6% alcohol. Next to the wine bottle in this picture is the Mencia wine in Bohemian crystal that I chose for this variety of wine. The picture was taken on the balcony of the vineyard cottage. Many thanks to my family and friends that have supported me in this endeavor. ~ Love Austin 💓

P.S. drink responsibly! I keep to a two glass maximum.
