As I have mentioned in previous posts.. Steemit is not really like Reddit, because it has value to the entire world! Reddit is all about blogging and karma points is the same as Steem Power, but that is about all that they have in common..
Anyone at home with a computer and internet access can make money at any moment.. now yes there is a delay (24 hours now and 12 hours after the hardfork) but for the simple fact that you do not have to apply or be put on a schedule makes the possibilities endless!
I ask this because it does not seem like a whole lot of non-blogging or crypto posts are earning anything.. Does Steemit want to motivate people to stick more to JUST blogging?
If we are going to be "THE NEXT BIG THING" we have to realize that this IS a snapchat 10 second video world, and it's possible that the potentially millions/billions of users we want coming to the site.. Might want to see non-blog material being awarded also to motivate them to stay :/
