How can I watch Sling TV in Europe and elsewhere?

Sling TV is a quite fantastic streaming service in the USA, with many similarities to YouTube TV, FuboTV, and also DirecTV. But, it is quite a bit cheaper, and you have more package opportunities, which will save you money if you only want to subscribe and watch content from certain networks and not all of them. But, it might feel very frustrating if you decide to visit Sling.com to get a Sling TV account or to use your current account, and all you can see is an error message like this one.

We're Sorry. Sling TV is only available inside the US. Thank you for your interest.

If you see the question above, you might end up asking yourself a few questions.

  • How did they manage to create such a depressing error message page, without any color, no images, and nothing else?
  • What on earth can you do to get access to Sling TV outside the United States, for example in Europe, in Africa, in Asia, and elsewhere?

I will not deal much with the first question, but I will answer the second question!

How to watch Sling TV online outside the United States!

To get access to the Sling TV website with all its contents outside the United States, you will need to make the website believe that you are located in the United States. That might sound complicated, but it isn't. Have you ever heard of something called a VPN? A VPN is a Virtual Private Network (sounds complicated, eh?), and it is used to keep you hidden and safe online. But, a VPN will also change your IP address, and thus, your virtual location.

You can easily use a VPN to get an American IP address, which will make the Sling TV website believe that you are in the USA. But, you cannot just use any VPN, because many of them are blocked. But, here you have the names of two VPN providers that will help you watch Sling TV in Europe.

Use the links above to visit their websites. Both services has great discounts available right now, and they also have full refund policies valid for thirty days (in case you do not like the service you use).

Let's watch Sling TV abroad

Have you clicked the links above and bought yourself a VPN subscription. If you have done so, you are almost ready to access and stream Sling TV abroad.

  • Download the VPN application to your device.

After your have purchased your subscription, download the VPN application of SurfsharkVPN/ExpressVPN to your computer, phone, tablet, smart TV, or other device. Both of them will allow simultaneous connections, meaning that you can use the same subscription on several computers, phones, and tablets, and TVs at the very same time.

  • Run the VPN application and connect to a server in the USA.

Now you should open the VPN application and connect to a server in the USA. This will give you an American IP address which is needed to watch Sling TV in Europe. Not only will this help you watch Sling TV, but you can now also watch content on Hulu, Amazon Prime, FuboTV, American Netflix, CBS, NBC, PeacockTV, and lots of other sites in the USA.

  • Watch content on Sling TV.

Now it is time to visit sling.com. You can now see the actual website and stream the content available. Below you can see a screenshot I just made as I connected to a server in the USA with ExpressVPN and visited the Sling TV website.

That is how easy it is to watch Sling TV in Europe. But, what if you don't have a subscription to Sling TV yet? How can you purchase and pay for your Sling TV subscription if you don't have a payment card issued in the USA (and your current payment method doesn't work)?

How to pay for Sling TV?

If you decide to purchase a Sling TV subscription, you should try to pay with your normal payment card or PayPal account first. But, if you do not succeed and receive error messsages telling you that your card isn't valid, then you will need to do something else. Here I will give you two solutions that will help you pay for Sling TV even if you lack an American issued payment card.

  • Get an American issued payment card.

The easiest option might be to get a payment card issued in the USA. But, how is that possible? There is a service named US Unlocked, and it is quite brilliant. It will give you a payment card actually issued in the USA, and it can be used to pay for services like Hulu, Amazon Prime, Sling TV, and more. It is really easy to use, and it works very well. I have used it personally to pay for PeacockTV, Amazon content, Hulu, and so on, meaning that I have good experience with this myself.

Visit their website, create an account, deposit money, and once the money is there, you will get access to your American issued card, which again will make you able to pay for Sling TV.

  • Buy a Sling TV gift card.

The second option is to purchase a Sling TV gift card and redeem it. In that way, you will be able to get a Sling TV account and pay for it, without owning an actual payment card issued in the USA.

After you have purchased your Sling TV gift card, redeem it to your account (or redeem it to a new account), and you will be ready to watch Sling TV. Do not forget to use the VPN throughout the process and to be connected to a server in the USA.

That's it... you can now watch Sling TV worldwide

You are now ready to watch Sling TV abroad, pay for Sling TV abroad, and do whatever you want to. Isn't that fantastic? It is really easy and convenient, and I am having a hard time writing this article, because there is so much content that I would love to stream on Sling TV instead. Not only are there lots of programs available through the actual live streams, but you will also find lots of TV series and movies available on demand. Just like I was able to watch Doctor Strange with my Sling TV subscription right now, you will also find tons of other movies and interesting content available on demand with your subscription.

I hope these instructions have helped you and that you are ready to watch Sling TV in France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Spain, and wherever you might be in Europe or elsewhere in the world!
