EOS Enable Projects - SLANT

In my previous post, where I discussed the decentralized operating system called EOS, I mentioned a couple of other things about Eos, as well as its close similarity with the Ethereum based technology. We spoke about the Founder, Dan Larrimer, who with Eos still holds the highest amount raised in an ICO at $4 billion. EOS is an ambitious project, as it hopes to someday be the decentralized operating system that can power industrial scale decentralized applications (Dapps)

In today’s post, we will talk about some of the Dapp projects that are built on the Eos blockchain. We will talk briefly on these projects, discussing the problem they are trying to solve, as well as the team and investment backing the project. And subsequently, we will look at these projects properly, talking about them one-by-one, with each having its own post.

In today’s post, we will be looking at 5 projects that are built on the EOS blockchain. Without further, let's jump right into it!

SLANT

In a nutshell, SLANT can be said to be a decentralized opinion market built on the EOS blockchain. It can also be said to be the most secure, fair and transparent possible future for one’s opinion data. SLANT believes opinions are an inevitably important part of value creation in the society. And this is informed by two major historical events, which are the agricultural and industrial revolution, which brought man into new realms of prosperity as humanity was able to structure resources and make adequate use of his time and the resources available to him.

SLANT is positioning itself ahead of the next revolution, that will unleash yet another untapped facet of humanity’s potential, the Information revolution. Just as industrial revolution enriched man via the use of machines to improve labour efficiency, the information revolution will enrich human labour via information. The reality of this is that economic productivity will be void of human labour, and its application will be reduced to the barest minimum.

The little form of decision man will need to make will be Decision making as a result artificial intelligence and autonomous agents will be at the front of labour incline task. Today’s world is a clear example of the failing economic model of a productivity-centric economic model, this is marked by financial crisis and inflationary monetary policies. The reality is a little grim as these challenges will continue, and the standard of life will continue to degrade.

SLANT Model

SLANT is proposing a new economic protocol which model reflects on a new economic concept of labour that is centred around opinion and decision making; as those will be the fundamental drivers to change the labour landscape. SLANT is designed to convert opinion into a valuable and transferable asset that constitute the labour part of the information economy. Should SLANT succeed, then the society humanity will live in will be one that opinion will both be a sovereign and transactional all at once.
