To mark thia occasion the Royal Mint commissioned a 50p coin (£0.60) with the words ‘Peace, prosperity and friendship with all nations‘. The coin itself qas released to coincide with the official leaving date, which was January 31st 2020. This date can also be found on this coin. So far (unofficial) mintage figures sufgest there are close to 10milluon coins in circulation. This doesnt make the coin collectable or remotely valuabke.

COIN TRIVIA - Originally, the date to leave the EU was scheduled for the 29th March 2019, and a few thousand coins wwre struck and released with this date on. If you ever find this coin, wirh that date on, you coukd be sitting on a small fortune. These coins were never meant ti be released by the Royal Mint, but as always MULE , or error coins slio througg the sysytem.
