Evening everyone…..
I wrote about the storm that had come through on late Saturday evening. A huge tree had been uprooted and took down the power lines on both sides of the road.
As I wrote my post yesterday there was a street crew cutting up the fallen tree in order for the power company crew to do their work restoring the power.
Just before eleven last night our power was restored. But the damage was done….
This morning I had to empty out my entire refrigerator and put it in the garbage. I drove around trying to buy ice on Sunday, but because of the large number of people without power every place was sold out.
I had just made a large pot of jambalaya that night which now was garbage. I was pretty upset about that. The only bright spot was nearly everything in the freezer was still rock solid. I had some organic ground beef that was starting to thaw and the ice cream my mom had were garbage. So I’ll take that, because I easily had over $500 in meat in the freezer in vacuum sealed bags.
I also had to trouble shoot my spit unit in my shop. It was showing a “PF” failure. Which obviously means power failure. I’m not overly familiar with split units, so I had to look it up. Luckily it wasn’t to much of an issue.
Two days of working lost, so I’m behind now. It’s going to be a very busy week now.
Here’s some shiny for the read…
