A gift on my birthday….

Afternoon everyone ….

As you know my girlfriend took me out Wednesday to the casino overnight and a fantastic dinner as well. I had no idea she had something else up her sleeve as well.

I was supposed to be starting a new job site today, which has been on the books for over a month now. But it’s absolutely pouring here today. So the homeowners asked to hold off until Monday because of it.

The work is not outside work, but requires me to go in and out of the house to cut moldings and bring it through the house. I have ample amounts of drop cloths and plastic runners to cover my paths. But they said it’s too much work and would rather not have it all over the house. So my day is now semi free.

I do have shop work to get done but there is no pressure on it. So it can wait for today. I’m now going to spend the day with my girlfriend instead.

Now back to the surprise….

I was handed this wrapped gift from her. It totally caught me off guard.

Wait for it….

BAM !!!!

That is a ten ounce Royal Canadian Mint bar. I’ve been stacking for decades now and have never owned a Royal Canadian Mint bar ever. I own and have owned plenty of various coins from them, but I’ve never owned a bar of theirs. The premiums are usually quite high.

She got a great deal on this evidently the Costco in East Hanover, New Jersey is now selling them. She told me that it was $289 for it, when silver was at $26.85 an ounce. So that’s not a high premium at all.

She totally surprised me and this is such a great gift from her.

Here’s a close up….

Thank you for stopping by….
