[Last times...]

"In two days Saleem, I want you to anchor in the east, just north of the capitol of Victoria. When the violence begins, you will hear the cannon of the palace firing south at our approach. It is then that you will come quickly, and when you are in range, fire from the west as often as you can! Take down the palace guns... and we will take Victoria! God be with you!"
"God be with us all!” Saleem said as he embraced the Jinn quickly and then boarded a small boat heading out into the open sea…

[Mid-morning…East of Anse Boileau…Montagne Posee Rd…]

The Jinn’s small army of forty or so men headed east along the Montagne Posee Rd. through thick jungle. The road, if one was to call it that, was no more than a two-tracker wagon trail, but be it as it may, it wound across the middle of the island as it had for hundreds of years, linking the west coast with the east...

Two miles east of Anse Boileau, the force came upon Sridash market, a rural gathering place where farmers and tradesman sold their goods. A gathering of eighteen to twenty men looked up in fright as the Jinn’s men entered the clearing. Immediately, one of the men who had joined the force from the coast, spoke up in French Creole…

“Fear not countrymen! This is the Lord Jinn of Aden! He has come to free us from the tyranny of King Husam!” (Translated) He yelled out.

Several of the men smiled and stepped closer…

“Who will join us in our assault upon Victoria?!” He continued.

At least eight of the younger men eagerly raised their arms, while the older men remained cautious and only watched as more of the Jinn’s soldiers poured into the market clearing.

The Jinn stepped forward and spoke in Arabic,

“Husam is no King! He is a traitor and a rogue and I will defeat him and set your people free!”

The speaker from Anse Boileau translated and the men cheered, raising the spirits of many. Three more men stepped forward and raised their hands…

“Eleven men! Very good! We now are fifty-one in number! Tell them to hurry home and gather whatever weapons they have! We leave for the coast in one hour!” The Jinn instructed.
“Yes my Lord!”

[On the Silverton, two hours before dawn…]

“We hav a radge mission! As most of ye know by noo, th' Silverton was breeched earlier thes evening an' Loon Tipper was taken hostage by th' Potawatomi! Ahh aim tae bring heem back!”

A rustling of shoe leather against the heavy oak deck was heard and many murmured and gasped as they heard the news for the first time…
