announcing the 15th guess the shadow contest!!

50% of the beneficiary rewards to this post go in support of #hive-179017

our marvelous mentor @melinda010100 has increased the prizes to 10 HIVE and 400 POINTS!!! feel free join me in thanking her profusely. now our charitable judges can be even more benevolent and they still may also recommend pixresteemer nominations.

i would like to express my sincere appreciation to the generous sponsors of the entire shadow hunters community: @hive-179017 @ecency @taskmanager @pixresteemer and @galenkp and a special thanks to the OCD team for all the support they provide.

each week i post a new image of a shadow that the contestants try to guess what is making it. the first to surmise what it is gets a prize but there are also prizes for other guesses- mostly based on their entertainment value. it's not much fun if everybody guesses what somebody else already has guessed so the more creative the reply, the more the prize. the idea is to have fun. if you are contributing to the fun somehow, you'll likely qualify for something.

we also have a special prize- the venwood prize awarded to the venwoodest reply- that is an extraordinary reply which stretches the limit of what is conceivable to the point where readers can't help but burst out in laughter or at least shake their head in wonder. the venwood prize shall only be awarded for advanced effort abounding with fantastical elucidation. a good one-liner just won't do,

a venwood approach to a mystery is not to attempt to reveal some profound hidden truth, but rather to remove the weight of darkness from the unknown thereby lightening the load for all those fortunate enough to happen upon such a de-light. by extension it is an approach to life itself.

i know many of you have been waiting for this ever since you posted your previous reply on the 14th contest. now here it is finally- a shiny new opportunity to solve yet another curious cryptic conundrum. well maybe shiny wasn't the best choice of words for a shadow contest. what i was trying to get at was:..
can you shine your light on what is making this shadow

i know, i know. you wanted a nice simple one that only you could possibly recognize so you could avoid overheating your brain. sorry but you're in the wrong place for that. either you get your recognitive skills up out of bed or you let your imagination fly where it may. i'm not the only one looking forward to reading your astute well founded conclusions.

while you work on that i will wistfully woo some jolly judicious judges.

if you think some ________ (-body else) has beaten you to your guess, there's no need to throw in the sponge, Bob, the point is we're here to have some fun, so unchain your creative mind and join in.

even though this contest still has just one basic rule, anybody replying that this is a cherry flavored lollipop may risk being disqualified.
the rule is as simple as it is difficult:
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
please live by it at least until midnight June 7th.

and while you are in the community
i strongly suggest you submit some superb shadows here:

and remember relevant reflections round 19:

happy guessing to all
