Obliviate by Shorts Brewering
TGIF! Day 4 has me venturing even farther out of my comfort zone with a Belgian Quadrupel.
Obliviate is a caramel brown colored Belgian Quadrupel with fruity aromatics of black cherry and apple, alongside the looming presence of notable alcohol vapors.
Sweet brown sugar and hard candy flavors transition quickly to a warming, almost hot mouthfeel.
The lingering effect of the high alcoholic strength creates a slight dryness, as if it evaporates from the palate.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with this one. I think it could use a little bourbon barrel aging to round out the flavor, but that’s my person preference.
Here are the rules:
-You have to try a new beer every day, for 7 days
-The beer must be something you have never tasted before
-You must put a photo of the beer and write a few words about it
-Nominate someone every day
-If you are a social outcast with no friends to invite you just join the fun. You have every excuse to drink
-Use the tag "#sevendaybeerchallenge" as one of your five tags.
Today, I nominate @BrewsBuffer
Cheers,
