A second Gilbert Martin piece in a row! This piece (Eucharist) was published in the Organists Journal in 2000, the year Gilbert Martin became the main editor for the magazine. Lots of his music is in this edition. This piece stuck out to me in it's continued development of a single melodic idea over time, something I have taken an interest in in the past two years (think Beethoven's Op. 101, the second movement of the Hindemith 2nd Organ Sonata, Chopin Op. 27 No. 2, etc.). I like how he in introduces the main idea of the piece several times over the course of the piece but goes off in different directions each time.
