Contrabourdon from Organ ABCs by Vidas Pinkevicius

Another work by Vidas Pinkevicius today. This is the third work in his collection Organ ABCs. It is called Contrabourdon. A countrabourdon is a low sounding flute typically found on the pedal board and sounds two octaves lower than actually played. Pinkevicius calls for some light strings to be played on the manuals in long sustained chords (I used a Gambe 8' and Vox Celeste 8'). The melody for the piece is found in the pedals. The organ I'm playing doesn't have a 32' stop on it, so I used a Subbass 16' coupled with a 16' Bourdon and Principal 8' from the Great Manual. I think it made a nice sounding melody line.
