Koh Samui island is a island off from the mainland south of Surat Thani you can fly direct there from Bangkok domestic airport or you can fly to Surat Thani Donsak Pier and take the huge ferry boat across the Gulf of Thailand if your not in a hurry and it's a cheaper way of doing this trip plus you get to see more of Thailand's country side. This beautiful fiery sunset i captured crossing the Gulf of Thailand and you can see Koh Samui island in the far distance it's a 2 hour ferry ride across the Gulf of Thailand to reach the island of Koh Samui.
Another beautiful sunset looking across to Koh Samui beach from the tree house resort i was staying this is the view we had from the high mountain where the resort is situated a beautiful nature setting very peaceful and tranquil one place i found hard to leave.
