Me presento con el nombre de Orlaida Melina, el mismo que me colocó mi mamá en honor a los dos grandes amores de su vida: mi papá y el famoso cantante Camilo Sesto. Nací un 17 de Octubre de 1990 en la ciudad de Anaco, ubicada en el estado Anzoátegui, un pueblo noble, lleno de gente servicial y alegre, donde el salir a la calle y no encontrarse a un conocido es misión imposible.
I introduce myself with the name of Orlaida Melina, the same one my mother gave me in honor of the two great loves of her life: my father and the famous singer Camilo Sesto. I was born on October 17, 1990 in the city of Anaco, located in the Anzoátegui state, a noble town, full of helpful and cheerful people, where going out and not meeting an acquaintance is an impossible mission.
A las pocas horas de nacer mi mamá se dio cuenta de que algo pasaba en mi rostro, se fue poniendo oscuro justo debajo de mi ojo derecho, y fue así como obtuve lo que llaman marca de nacimiento, la cual no me afecta en nada, simplemente me hace única y diferente.
A few hours after I was born my mother realized that something was happening on my face, it was getting dark just below my right eye, and that's how I got what they call a birthmark, which does not affect me at all, it just makes me unique and different.
Soy la menor de tres hermanos, fuimos criados por mi mamá y mi abuela, siendo ellas mi gran ejemplo de perseverancia, de trabajo honesto y sobre todo de que nada es imposible. Gracias al apoyo de ellas logré estudiar y recibir dos títulos universitarios los cuales son unos de mis grandes orgullos: Técnico Superior en Contaduría y Licenciada en Administración de empresas.
I am the youngest of three siblings, we were raised by my mother and my grandmother, they being my great example of perseverance, honest work and above all that nothing is impossible. Thanks to their support, I was able to study and receive two university degrees, which are one of my great prides: Senior Technician in Accounting and Bachelor of Business Administration.
A los 20 años empecé a trabajar en la parte administrativa de una cristalería, donde aprendí todo lo que tiene que ver con la elaboración de puertas de baño, ventanas, cortes de cristales, procesos de esmerilado, accesorios, entre otras cosas, ya que debía elaborar los presupuestos para los clientes.
At the age of 20 I began to work in the administrative part of a glassware, where I learned everything that has to do with the elaboration of bathroom doors, windows, glass cuts, grinding processes, accessories, among other things, since I had to prepare budgets for clients.
Un año después pasé a otra empresa de los mismos dueños: una ferretería, allí aprendí todo lo esencial del mundo ferretero, techo raso, herramientas, lámparas, instalación de drywall, luego de cuatro años llegó el momento de cerrar ese ciclo con esas personas que se convirtieron en amigos y que me dieron la oportunidad de aprender siendo simplemente una recién graduada sin experiencia.
A year later I went to another company of the same owners: a hardware store, there I learned all the essentials of the hardware world, flat ceiling, tools, lamps, drywall installation, after four years it was time to close that cycle with those people who they became friends and they gave me the opportunity to learn just being a recent graduate with no experience.
Puedo decir que mis áreas de trabajo han sido marcadas por la masculinidad, un año después empecé a trabajar en el área de servicios de un importante concesionario de la ciudad donde sin saber siquiera manejar obtuve conocimiento sobre reemplazo de piezas, motores, bujías, cambio de aceite, frenos, todo lo relacionado con la mecánica ya que en mi puesto de asesor de servicios debía velar porque los vehículos recibieran las reparaciones o mantenimiento que ameritaban y explicarle a los clientes el diagnostico de su vehículo.
I can say that my work areas have been marked by masculinity, a year later I started working in the service area of an important dealership in the city where without even knowing how to drive I got knowledge about replacement of parts, engines, spark plugs, change of oil, brakes, everything related to mechanics since in my position as a service advisor I had to ensure that the vehicles received the repairs or maintenance they deserved and explain to the clients the diagnosis of their vehicle.
Luego de varios años decidí dedicarme a lo más valioso de mi vida: mi familia, me casé con mi novio del liceo, y actualmente tenemos un hermoso bebe, el tiempo en casa con él me permitió realizar otra actividad importante: asesorar estudiantes en tesis, una actividad muy gratificante y enriquecedora.
After several years I decided to dedicate myself to the most valuable thing in my life: my family, I married my boyfriend from high school, and currently we have a beautiful baby, time at home with him allowed me to carry out another important activity: advising students in thesis, a very rewarding and enriching activity.
Actualmente trabajo medio tiempo en un local de ventas de productos de limpieza, lo cual me ha permitido aprender un poco de fórmulas, químicos, elaboración de productos de higiene personal, colorantes, fragancias, espesantes, todo un reto el cuál asumí de la mejor manera.
Currently I work part time in a cleaning product sales place, which has allowed me to learn a little about formulas, chemicals, preparation of personal hygiene products, colorants, fragrances, thickeners, a challenge which I assumed in the best way.
Sin duda la situación actual con la pandemia ha sacado lo mejor y lo peor de nosotros, todo depende de cómo lo queramos ver, en este tiempo en casa me he dado cuenta de lo mucho que me gusta cocinar y recrear recetas, lo mucho que me encanta admirar la naturaleza, la música, y las actividades en familia.
Undoubtedly the current situation with the pandemic has brought out the best and the worst in us, it all depends on how we want to see it, in this time at home I have realized how much I like to cook and recreate recipes, how much I love to admire nature, music, and family activities.
A lo largo de la vida llegas a toparte con todo tipo de gente, pero cuando te encuentras con personas maravillosas que te dan apoyo en el momento justo es necesario dar las gracias, es por esto que agradezco enormemente a @rutablockchain y @bluemist por la oportunidad y el apoyo para iniciar este gran proyecto.
Throughout your life you come across all kinds of people, but when you meet wonderful people who give you support at the right time it is necessary to give thanks, that is why I thank @rutablockchain and @bluemist for the opportunity and support to start this great project.
