The Rugby World Cup is over and we have to wait another 4 years for the next one in France 2023. What I found interesting is there was one set move that caught my eye and I had seen it somewhere before. This move was genius and guaranteed a minimum 3 points or a possible 7. Francois Louw said it was called a T-move and had been practiced in secret. I can't find the move on Youtube but just watch the highlights and it is around the 60th Minute. I will try and find it at a later stage.

Rassie Erasmus before taking over the Head Coach role for the Springboks was the Director of rugby and a role he goes back to again since giving up the coach role. Rassie had Carte Blanche in South Africa meaning he can get the Super Rugby teams to test and tryout certain moves. If the move works he will then lock it away for the right time.
If you watched the game you will recall in the second half the South African team called a short line out which guaranteed quick ball and they used a runner up the middle with the ball. The backs all piled in to clear the ball and then passed it to all the forwards who were grouped waiting to play the move of the match. Once one England player goes into try and stop them it becomes a maul and you can't bring it down legally.
England had no choice but to try and bring it down as if they didn't the forward pack was going all of 20 meters to the try line. Dan Coles bought it down giving South Africa an easy 3 points via a penalty goal. England had been out thought and they panicked which showed just how much control South Africa really had. This game was not close when you start to look back and England were taught a rugby lesson.

4 Bulls players are in the Springbok forward pack.
Rassie Erasmus had the Blue Bulls try something similar a few months ago in a game against the Cell C Sharks. In that game the backs went into the lineout and the forwards remained in a pod 10 meters away. The pod worked exactly the same way as we saw what happened in the final except they scored from this move. No one would have suspected that this was a variation of the South African move and Erasmus was behind it. this is where being the overall boss in control has benefits as you can test things out without anyone knowing.
South Africa had never done this move before and therefore England had no clue that it was coming. It has been years since the team has had a proper coach so it was a shock to everyone watching. This is the difference and Erasmus is a genius when it comes to out thinking the opposition. Now that he is the overall director of south African Rugby he will still have input and won't walk away altogether as that is not his style.
