I've Reached the Top (at Least at Home)

I made it to the Main Stage of my Home Town in Rising Star today. I reached Level 20 and have started my first Saturday Headline mission.

In the words of the immortal George Bailey in It's a Wonderful Life, "I'm shakin' the dust of this crummy little town off my feet and I'm gonna see the world." Next stop, the Local Gig Circuit, baby! Now, where did I put that Mid Range Acoustic. I guess I need to get me one so I can blow this joint. I should be able to scrape that together in the next day or two.

Meet My New Entourage

Yesterday, in an attempt to move up the rankings, I spent 7,000 STARBITS on thirteen cards unique to my collection. Meet my new peeps.

I Always Wanted a Didgeridoo

I think they sound cool and I would love to add one to my instrument collection at home (no, really). In addition to some of the old standards (like a guitar, keyboard, banjo, trombone, and harmonicas), I have a few more unusual ones (like a hammered dulcimer, mountain dulcimer, psaltry, rain stick, ocarinas, penny whistle, bamboo flute, and indian flute) and a couple of gimicky ones (like a train whistle and spoons). Plus, even though I don't have a full sound system (yet), I have my own mic, mic stand, and cables (for when I sing). There's probably two or three more that I am just not remembering off the top of my head...but I digress. Here are the ones I picked up in the game.

Moving On Up

With the recent addition of a Cold Pizza Slice enabling me to do more higher level missions and these new cards, I have managed to jump over 100 places on the leaderboard over the past few days.

I'm not quite ready to start collecting rewards yet, but there is hope over the horizon (sounds like song lyrics). Anyway, if you haven't played Rising Star and would like to see what all the fuss is about, it's FREE to join, free to play, and you can earn free cards and free crypto. If you do join, drop me a comment with any questions you might have. If I don't know the answer, I'm sure we can find it together.

I'll see you at my next gig.
