A zamindar house built in the 1800s.

How are you all? I hope you are very well. I will discuss my travel story in front of you. This is one of the signs of my travel story is the famous house of Rakhuni Kant Zamindar of Dinajpur region. This zamindar house is located in Birampur upazila of Dinajpur district. This zamindar house is an archeological monument of Bangladesh. It was built around the 18th century. Originally, this zamindar house was established in 1800. Currently, this zamindar house is in an abandoned state.

Zamindar Ratan Kumar was one of the most influential zamindars of Dinajpur. During his time he built it. He was a very influential man here and had zamindari in several upazilas of Dinajpur. It was originally a large two-storied house. There is a lot of abandoned land around it. It was originally planted with different types of gardens before the building is now in ruins. The roof above the road is not very good and it is dark all around, people are very afraid to come here at night.

This zamindar house has a great history. What cannot be explained is that the British government appointed a zamindar here to collect rent and let him stay in Kachari. He built his empire here. He gradually took over a lot of land. The common man here did not oppress the people, he was a very just zamindari, people were very happy in his zamindari and he used to fulfill people's rights.

First of all, without entering Birampur city, we went to Ratanpur. After going to Ratanpur, we entered the zamindar's house. First of all, it can be understood from the front that it may be much earlier but it was built around the 18th century. There is a big mango tree in front. . It would be around 200 to 300 years old. There was nothing but abandoned buildings. Me too my elder brother we went there first we entered there after entering we could see only seven to eight rooms but they are covered around that means sun light enters there at least.

I could see the roof above my head. The houses of the earlier people i.e. the zamindar houses were built in this way, with a wooden roof and a brick wall around it. We saw various designs made on those walls. Apart from flowers and birds, there are many other things that we don't know. Also, we saw many karukas of the Sultanate period, which are really charming.

So this was my discussion about Zamindar house in Nawabganj. Hope you all like it. Please let us know if there are any errors.
