Greetings to the whole CineTv community, I saw Cinetv contest: what is your favorite song used in a movie? and I found it very interesting. First of all I must say it was not easy for me to chose only one song, cause I love a lot of musical themes of many movies and TV shows. I consider the soundtrack to be one of the most important elements in any audiovisual work, cause the music is a really fascinating way to infuse emotions to the audience.
Saludos a toda la comunidad de CineTv, vi este concurso y me pareció una idea interesante, primero que nada debo decir que no fue sencillo seleccionar solo una canción, ya que me encantan los temas musicales de muchas películas y series de TV. Pienso que el soundtrack es uno de los elementos más importantes en cualquier obra audiovisual, para poder trasmitir grandes emociones en la audiencia.

A Watchful Guardian was composed by Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard, this song is heard in the final moments of The Dark Knight, when we see Gordon and Batman talking about how the Joker was able to break Harvey and the cause that the three of them were fighting for, they talk about how people will lose hope if the crimes committed by Dent come to light, but Batman decides that they must cover up those terrible events so the Joker will not win this conflict, because Gotham needs the image of a hero and Batman thinks that he can bear the responsibility for the crimes committed by Dent, so Gordon at Batman's request announces that they must capture him, at the same time we see how Gordon gives a speech to honor the legacy of the white knight of Gotham, while we see the last closing escene with Batman fleeing from the police in the distance.

A Watchful Guardian manages to fit perfectly with everything that happens in those final moments of the film, making us empathize with the feeling of failure that characters are manifesting, with a tune that starts melodically soft but gradually escalates to more epic and exciting sounds, it is undoubtedly an outstanding theme from one of the most powerful endings I've seen in a movie.
A Watchful Guardian logra encajar perfectamente con todo lo que pasa en esos momentos finales de la película, haciendo que empatásemos con esa sensación de fracaso que manifiestan los personajes, con una tonada que comienza melódicamente suave pero que poco a poco va escalando a sonidos más épicos y emocionantes, sin lugar a dudas es un tema sobresaliente para uno de los finales más impactantes que haya visto en una película.
