How things have changed

I have been delving into the advertising world from years gone by and it has been amazing to see how times have changed for the better. One noticeable sector is the cigarette industry with medical knowledge and understanding of the effects of smoking on the body. The industry has gone full circle from earlier adverts allowing children cigarettes as long as they were over 6 to the virtual total banning of adverts today.

What a difference from today where physicians used to recommended smoking and helped promote them to the public. Who could you trust and who was right as it was super cool to light up.

Sexism is a topic on it's own and not looking too deep have come up with some shocking beaut's. I think I will delve a little deeper into this topic over the coming days. We may smile and say no way,but that is how people thought back then.A womens place was at home doing the cooking and cleaning.

They were depicted as weak and helpless and men as the dominant force with the power lol. I am not surprised there was a women movement trying to get equal rights.
