Murcielago Islands, Costa Rica

The Murcielago Islands, located north of the province of Guanacaste, is one of the most beautiful places I have visited in my life. They belong to the Santa Rosa National Park, and are composed mainly of grasses and small shrubs, which is the only type of plant that grows on the islands due to its volcanic soil. The waters that surround them are incredibly clear, and produce a beautiful turquoise hue. Fish and turtles are abundant and there is a great variety of seabirds. Definitely a paradise that deserves to be visited and protected.
