Desolation at this time of the morning. I was in my home province and on my way to my mother's house. On trips like this one with a lot of fog, I always carry my camera in the passenger seat in case something interesting happens. I have had other times beautiful sunrises with the sun penetrating that layer of wet silk, but this time the sun had to rise a little higher to attack like the hawks: from above. I was there before that assault. I stopped my car for a moment and got out to capture how the wires were the only thread leading to the horizon. As I crossed the train line, the rails were also waiting for me near the abandoned platform.
Desolación a esta hora de la mañana. Estaba en mi provincia natal e iba camino a la casa de mi madre. En viajes como éste con mucha neblina, siempre llevo la cámara en el asiento del copiloto por si acontece algo interesante. He logrado otras veces hermosos amaneceres con el sol penetrando esa capa de seda húmeda, pero ésta vez el astro rey tuvo que subir un poco más para atacar como los gavilanes: desde arriba. Yo estuve antes de ese asalto. Detuve un momento mi auto y bajé para capturar cómo los cables eran el único hilo conductor hacia el horizonte. Ya al cruzar la línea del tren me esperaban también los raíles en fuga cerca del andén abandonado.
