Secrets of visualization, or how to properly dream that dreams come true

First you need to define the main concept. Visualization is the creation of a mental image of a goal. You imagine what you want to achieve and how you will do it.

Many people perceive visualization as hope for a good future, but such a strategy lacks one important detail - the connection with reality. That is, if you imagine driving a luxury car, but do not think about how to make money to buy this car, then the dream will remain a dream.

Effective visualization includes both the object of desire and actions to achieve it. Simply put, you will have to present every step towards your goal: in which direction you will work, what obstacles you will have to overcome and how you will do it. This is not as pleasant as simple dreams, but it helps to achieve real results in many areas.

Psychologists recommend visualization for:

  • learning new skills;
  • achieving complex goals;
  • gaining control and confidence;
  • maintaining calm during stress;
  • developing new plans and strategies.

Some people are accustomed to act impulsively and treat visualization with disbelief. In addition, this visualization technique looks unscientific and esoteric. However, in fact, scientists have proven that it affects the human brain in a very positive way.

Scientists have discovered that the brain does not share what is happening in the imagination and in reality. When you remember something or imagine your future actions, the same chemicals are released in it as in the real situation. Your brain behaves in the same way, and it doesn't matter whether you are imagining an event or experiencing it in reality.

Neurotransmitters - the chemicals by which the brain gives commands to the body, stimulate motor control, attention and planning, which induces a person to action.

According to Hebbian’s theory of neurology, neurons excited together are connected to each other. Imagining the future, you create new neural connections in the brain that help you think and act differently. That is why when you start thinking about a new job or a new client, opportunities suddenly come to you.

To be convinced of the effectiveness of the visualization technique you need to start with small goals. For example, find a way to travel, to expand the circle of friends, and more. When you make sure that it really works, then integrate it into your life on an ongoing basis. Remember - thoughts are material, so think good.
